Sul palco della O2 Arena, l’ex Beatles ha ospitato il compagno Ringo Starr e Ron Wood, chitarrista dei Rolling Stones, per suonare insieme “Get Back”, un classico dei Fab Four dall’album “Let It Be” del 1970.
Una vera sorpresa per i fan, che hanno potuto vivere l’emozione di rivedere sul palco insieme i due Beatles rimasti. Non solo, McCartney, durante il live, ha riproposto parte dei successi intramontabili del gruppo come “Hard Day’s Night”, “Eleanor Rigby”, “Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da” ed “Hey Jude”, tra le altre.
Macca ha suonato anche alcuni pezzi storici dei Wings e “In Spite of All the Danger” dei Quarrymen, la prima band fondata da John Lennon in cui suonò anche McCartney alla fine degli anni 50. In scaletta 40 brani complessivi, compresi i nuovi pezzi di “Egypt Station”.
Tra gli altri ospiti speciali della serata, oltre ai già citati Ringo Starr e Ron Wood, anche Roger Daltrey degli Who ed Emma Thompson, attrice britannica.
