    Un nuovo album live della Jimi Hendrix Experience sarebbe in procinto di uscire, promettendo di mostrare l'iconico guitar hero al suo picco creativo.

    Si intitola LOS ANGELES FORUM: APRIL 26, 1969 ed uscirà il 18 novembre prossimo per Legacy Recordings. Il nuovo album dal vivo della band di Jimi Hendrix mostra la line up originale degli Experience con Hendrix alla voce e, ovviamente, alla chitarra, Noel Redding al basso e Mitch Mitchell alla batteria. Fu inciso nella primavera del 1969 ed è la prima volta che vede la luce in versione integrale, giusto in tempo per celebrare l'ottantesimo compleanno del chitarrista.

    I Don't Live Today, in questa nuova versione dal vivo, è la prima traccia estratta come singolo dalla release. Prodotto da Janie Hendrix, sorella del chitarrista, John McDermott, manager del catalogo di Hendrix e Eddie Kramer, il disco presenta diversi classici tra cui Foxey Lady, Purple Haze e Star Spangled Banner, nella medesima versione che Jimi avrebbe eseguito a Woodstock.

    Gli Experience terminarono la loro performance dal vivo, quella sera, con Voodoo Child e Sunshine Of Your Love dei Cream. L'album sarà disponibile in vinile, CD e piattaforme digitali. Il live include una prefazione di Billy Gibbons dei ZZ Top e le parole del critico Randy Lewis.
