Brian Wilson: il 31 agosto partirà il nuovo tour che celebrerà “Friends”

Il classico del 1968 dei Beach Boys sarà al centro del tour di Brian Wilson; opening act gli Zombies

Si intitola “Something Great from ’68” il nuovo tour di Brian Wilson, che inizierà all’Hard Rock Hotel and Casino di Las Vegas; dopo alcuni anni on the road passati a riproporre i brani di “Pet Sounds” Wilson ha deciso di riprendere il materiale di “Friends”. Opening act saranno gli Zombies, recentemente ammessi alla Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Questo il commento dell cantante e leader dei Beach Boys: “It’s been quite a year and I’m ready to go out and tour some music that makes everyone have a feel good vibe; the Friends album has always been one of my favorites, and I love the music from that time in history” (è passato quasi un anno e sono pronto ad andare in tour e suonare della musica che fa stare bene chiunque. L’album Friends è sempre stato uno dei miei preferiti, e amo la musica di quel periodo storico).

Oltre ai brani di “Friends” Wilson riprenderà anche quelli di “Surf’s Up” del 1971.
